Policy Engagement
Informing AI Policy & Governance
My research on AI governance, ethics, and synthetic media has been
cited and drawn upon by international organizations and governments
including the OECD,
the European Parliament,
Australia's CSIRO,
and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
I have briefed U.S. legislators, executive agency officials, and
policymakers on AI governance, synthetic media regulation, and
responsible AI frameworks.
Knowing what AI governance looks like — and doesn't look like —
inside organizations actually deploying AI directly informs my
research on the principles-to-practice gap and what meaningful
accountability requires.
